Scoop embraces BCI

SCOOP embraced the commitment to improve the cotton production practices by joining the BCI-Better Cotton Initiative as a clothing manufacturer, involving the entire chain value.

BCI identifies itself as a non-profit organization. Through the cooperation of a group of multi-stakeholder organizations, together they defined what would be a better and more sustainable way to grow cotton. They give this the definition of “Better Cotton”.

Members of the global cotton supply chain are now collectively addressing the negative impacts of mainstream cotton production by supporting this globally recognised definition, generating market demand for Better Cotton, and sharing information and knowledge to enable continuous improvement on everybody’s part.
