scoop at 15th anniversary ungc conference

Over the past 15 years, the Portuguese network of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest sustainability initiative, has been playing a key role in Sustainable Development, particularly with regard to the implementation of Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) in Portugal.

In this context, the Global Compact Network Portugal (GCNP) will hold a Conference to celebrate its members, namely those who joined for at least 15 years, and is also preparing to launch a Brochure to be made available on January 22, 2019.

Concomitantly, and because in January 2019 the SDG Alliance Portugal celebrates 3 years since its creation, the event will also include this dimension, seeking to give visibility to its members and to the activities, initiatives and projects it has carried out to implement the Agenda 2030 of the UN.

The event will begin with institutional interventions, notably from the UN Global Compact – Central Office New York, followed by a second part where the representatives of the Organizations, with 15 years of Commitment to this initiative of the United Nations, will be present. The afternoon will be dedicated to members of the SDG Alliance Portugal and GCNP members and will be an opportunity for SCOOP to present a pitch of approximately 5-7 minutes on the results already achieved and on flagship projects within the Sustainable Development Goals.
